We do this by:

  • Designing and delivering our specialist wellbeing toolbox at weeseeds.co.uk for grown-ups to turn fun, daily activities into life-long skills.
  • Giving resource tips through growing social media presence.
  • Operating our buy one, give one programme – Pick One, Plant Onewhere we give away our mindfulness tools to families in need, in partnership with charities, CICs, and other social ventures.

Wee Seeds has bootstrapped, building its current foundation on volunteer time and grants. We’re ready to build a commercially successful tech-for-good social business. We want to build a scalable solution to contribute to positive mental health for future generations and create valuable social impact. Can you help us grow?

The Role

We need someone to lead this growth through sales and partnerships, initially with nurseries and other educational establishments, our new referrals programme and our social impact scheme.

As a new role, we’d ideally like someone with previous experience in Sales, Partnerships and/or Growth to help develop a brand-new sales plan. As a small team, we also need someone to deliver this plan.

Working closely with Wee Seeds Founder Christina Cran, the Wee Seeds Board, and other advisors, as well as our current volunteers, we’re looking for a fresh approach to our sales methods and systems to help us scale to the next level. Are you that person?

Key Responsibilities

1. Be responsible for an upward trajectory of business growth and our accompanying social impact.

To achieve this, you’ll

  • Develop and own an evidence-led sales and marketing plan, focussed on B2B and B2B2C partnerships and growth, informed by user data, insights and industry knowledge
  • Develop a strong, replicable lead generation scheme, using tools of the trade, e.g. lead generators, funnels, new referrals programme, etc.
  • Convert leads into new business (sales), cultivate those leads to build longer term relationships (partners) – all with the aim of increasing revenue (growth).
  • Maintain current, and develop new, partnerships for our Pick One, Plant One programme, and help with social impact monitoring for this channel.
  • Assist in the B2C channels, as required, feeding in ideas, and cross fertilisation from B2B and B2B2C sales and marketing plan, where appropriate.
  • Ensure sales and social impact information is up-to-date, and accessible. Reporting to management, Wee Seeds’ board and funders, is required.

2. Help to grow Wee Seeds through a clear brand and marketing strategy to support product awareness, lead generation and sales.

To do this, you’ll

  • Co-create Wee Seeds’ brand and marketing strategy, working with the Wee Seeds Team to devise and deliver campaigns to attract and convert leads, and increase partnership opportunities, both for B2B sales/referrals programme, and social impact scheme.
  • Support implementation of Wee Seeds’ plan to key audiences across digital, social, email and other marketing channels, including PR.
  • Develop Wee Seeds brand, based on interactions with target audience and research, and work on positioning statements to fit with strategy plans and user feedback.
  • Assist in the recording of data to support strategy, ensuring information is up-to-date, and accessible. Reporting to management, Wee Seeds’ board and funders, is required.

  • Attend Team Meetings and Board Meetings.

About you

Your superpower will be in building relationships and securing contracts to grow our revenue models and enable us to achieve our social impact aims.

We’d imagine you’d have a proven track record of growth through partnerships, and in leading the charge to build sales and revenue increases, particularly in the B2B and B2C2B field, and possibly within a start-up.

You may have worked at a management level, but certainly worked closely with senior management or executive level.

You’re likely to be able to demonstrate much of the following:

  • Networking skills, especially in the world’s new remote working environment.
  • Experience of creating stand-out brand and marketing campaigns to capture new audiences and engage existing ones.
  • Ability to use social media platforms, understanding of lead generators, like funnels, and email marketing – with knowledge of how to utilise data from these tools to create growth.
  • An ability to self-motivate, manage own time, and work to your own initiative.
  • A commitment to our mission and vision.

Bonuses would be

  • Experience of mindfulness and meditation.
