Wee Seeds is a real gift for families and young people. Mindfulness and yoga has such potential to grow calm, kindness and emotional literacy; and starting that cultivation early is so beneficial. What’s even more gorgeous about this app is that it grows connection in families; between the child and whoever is supporting them. It’s a small step towards growing more compassionate communities and this is such a beautiful aspiration. As a contributor I’ve been struck by the heartfelt, authentic wish of the Founder, Christina, to bring into being a way to support the growth of these practices for children. I’m proud to have been a small part of that.

Parenting two small children can be challenging at the best of times, but now, during Corona Virus, it's been more important than ever to be able to talk to my children about their feelings and how to find calm in chaos. Wee Seeds has been great in giving my family the confidence and tools to talk about difficult feelings, and giving my children the space to be sad, angry, frustrated and all the feelings we're all feeling right now, and know how to return to feeling more at ease with all the changes they're dealing with.

We had the great opportunity to work with Wee Seeds to deliver mindfulness sessions for our children within our nurture centre and found it to be a great asset to our provision for children. As a Centre, we are always working to further our children in their development, this often focuses on their emotional development and resilience skills. Mindfulness sessions have provided the opportunities to allow children to take time to notice their own emotions and reflect upon them, helping them build such vital skills for life and learning, such as emotional literacy and self-regulation.

My toddler and I are both LOVING the Wee Seeds exercises. I've wanted to try to bring more mindfulness into his routine for a while now but honestly didn't really know where to start. We started the exercises quite slowly with no definite plan but Mousa just instantly loved them. He will occasionally ask for the balloon breathing, or the garden yoga if we haven't done it for a couple of days. He'll pull out my yoga mat and say: “Mum I want to do Bugs yoga". I absolutely love doing the yoga exercises with him... but more than that I love that he WANTS To do it.

Wee Seeds is a fantastic addition to my parenting toolbox. The quality and variety of exercises is excellent and I’m so grateful to be able to refer back to them in moments of need. When my son feels anxious, he now asks if we can do some of the exercises together, and they’ve proved so successful that we’ve incorporated a couple of exercises into his bedtime routine. His favourite is the Weather Yoga exercise as he likes the feel of the raindrops on his tummy and he loves becoming a rainbow! And we both loved the heart to heart exercise. It feels so special to share that moment of closeness and connection with him. Thank you, Wee Seeds, for helping us to find moments of calm and focus in our busy lives.

I was really pleased to receive the 28-day calendar to try with my 4-year-old daughter. My 8-year-old son and I already have experience in mindfulness so it seemed like an easy next step to engage my daughter. She is a very active, determined child so I was excited to see how things went with her. I am happy to say that, although her attention didn't last too long on each of the different exercises, she really enjoyed doing them. She loved the Pause Button and the Little Bugs best and really enjoyed doing the Focus Eyes when we were outdoors. The exercises are simple and straight forward for little ones and the website is visually lovely and easy to use. Thank you Christina and thank you Wee Seeds.

Such an easy app to use with my children. There were clear and simple instructions for each exercise which made it easy to get to grips with and use over and over again with the kids. They’re now asking to use it!

We were delighted to be part of the trial for Wee Seeds. It came just at the perfect time as my daughter was starting school – a time of overwhelming emotions for little ones to cope with. We found the ideas fun and engaging! Some of the ideas we could do while we were out and about such as ‘Focus Eyes’ which was a favourite and one my younger son could get involved in too, while others were more relaxation tools. I found Wee Seeds gave me a tool to start conversations about the importance of relaxation and mindfulness as it gave me the confidence with the right tone and wording to use.

Navigating the exercises in this beautifully simple app was an amazing opportunity for my grandson and I to discover the pause button and find our inner stillness. Although he is only 3 years old at the moment, he was so engaged with each new exercise we did together and he loved to recreate these for his parents later in the day. At present he only manages the stillness for a few seconds but I am certain that as we grow together with this app, he will also find the place of inner calm that will enable him to regulate his own emotions and be able to access his inner calm.
